Exploring Dee Why Recreation Reserve

Exploring Dee Why Recreation Reserve

A wet and very steep start. Basically this is the domain of the BMX biker, so watch out for reckless teenagers. There are some nice views and once you are on top of the plateau it is quite flat although it alternates between sand and clay so it is not really easy going at any point. If you are stuck for somewhere new to walk it might be worth a look.

This route starts off on the Caleyi Trail and returns on the aptly named Slippery Dip trail. It follows the not-so aptly named Deep Creek for a while until you arrive at a waterfall, then heads up hill to join the service track.
